World Cup 2018 predictions for Belgium – Panama
One of the big favorites in Group G of the World Cup 2018 – Belgium, faces Panama World Cup debutant in the first round of the group stage. The duel will be played on June 18, Monday, at the Sochi Olympic Stadium.
Belgium is a huge favorite at this meeting, and all but a success for the Reds would be a great surprise. Many expect a win for Roberto Martinez with at least two goals difference. Panama’s team will aim to break the rhythm of the opponent’s game and group well in their own half, leaving no free space to Belgium. The European country, however, has a bunch of football players with a huge individual class in their lineup, who can also cope with a thicker defense of the rival.
Premier League players Kevin de Bourget, Eden Azar and Romulus Lukaku form the strong attack of Belgium. To them we can also add the star of Napoli Drees Mertens. Belgium will rely heavily on its strong attack game to reach its 13th World Cup. The best ranking of the team so far is the fourth place in 1986. In this lineup, “Red Devils” have big stars in all lines of the field. It will not be surprising if the Roberto Martinez-led team reaches at least the ?-finals of the tournament.
Panama’s team must be happy with their first World Cup qualifier. The nation is waiting for something more at the World Cup in Russia after Panama is in a group with Belgium and England. Panama has a solid history in the region, and in 2005 and 2013 lost to the CONCACAF Golden Cup final from the US team. It is interesting to note that of all 32 teams in the World Cup 2018, Panama has the oldest team. Panamanian players’ solid experience will help them against Belgium and I expect the Central American team to lose at least two goals difference in their debut match at the world finals.
